Son Mutaner, opened in 2000,is an extremely pretty golf course and has wide fairways designed so that high handicappers can play alongside the single figure guys.

An attractive golf course with pretty, spectacular sea views, one of its main plus points is playing against the backdrop of the magnificent Bendinat castle. The majority of the holes are dog-legs which can be a pain for the casual golfer, but if you have a decent handicap, Bendinat is an entertaining golf course.

We liked this one very much indeed and we think you will too - a Jack Nicklaus design that is located only 9 km from Palma. The first thing that arrested our attention was the welcome lack of any properties imposing themselves onto the golf course but soon our attention was diverted to the golf itself - and very impressive it is.

Two golf courses here – the East and West with the latter considered to be more difficult and thus it is the golf course that hosts most of the competitions that are held here.

The wind was fearsome when we played Golf Maioris but it did not detract from a really enjoyable round of golf. It is a golf course that leads you in gently with the opening holes being quite tame before introducing you to one or two brutes.

There’s water here – lots of it! A total of six lakes that will really keep you focussed on the next shot if your intention is to complete the hole without carding a bogey.
