South; 7072 yds par 72 - A superb golf course and host to numerous Portuguese Golf Opens, this is a tough and very demanding golf course that states its intentions from the beginning; a 425 yard par four is followed by a tough par 5 and another 400+ yard par four. And so it continues until the "best," a par three 15th; 220 yds of carry over water.
North; 6763 yds par 72 - When nine holes were added to the twenty seven hole Golf Quinta do Lago, Ria Formosa (since renamed The North Course) was formed as an eighteen hole golf venue in its own right and named after the nature reserve that it runs through. Dog legged par fours seem to be the main feature of the golf course and accuracy from the tee is essential as most fairways are protected by mature pines.
