I’ve recently visited Madeira to check out its golf courses and also to see for myself how the game should be played. I watched the European Tour pros contesting the Madeira islands Open on the fabulous Santo de Serra course as well as playing in the pro-am before the real competition got under way. Congratulations to Ricardo Santos who romped home at 22 under par – 4 shots ahead of the field and apologies to Oliver Wilson on whom we placed our money thereby instantly condemning him.
